Projects - Perpetual Project

A perpetual project is a project that is always active. In most cases the purpose of this type of project is to initiate actions on a repeating schedule. A perpetual project is displayed on the Projects list with a specific project icon that acts as a visual cue.

To protect the integrity of the perpetual project, none of the tasks in the project will be displayed on any member's Inbox or Group Inbox. The tasks of a perpetual project can be viewed from the Project Details screen only.

Many common workflow processes can benefit from the use perpetual projects. A perpetual project can be thought of as the "master" project that initiates a regularly occurring timed event. For example, a Perpetual Project can have a task that sends a delivery message out every two weeks. Another example would be to schedule the start of a new project on the 15th of every month.
