Projects - Copy as shared
General Information
The copy as shared feature is applicable only in the project
template editor screen. Copy as shared can be used for an
individual task or for a template.
Copy as shared means that the tasks or template will be
partnered and will "share" information. Changes or updates to
one task or template will be automatically reflected in its
"sharing" partner.
If two templates are partnered by a "copy as shared" and a
task is deleted from one template, that task will remain
unchanged in the partner template. If two templates are
partnered by a "copy as shared" and one of the templates is
deleted, the partner template will remain unchanged. If two
tasks are partnered by a "copy as shared" and one task is
deleted, the partnered task will remain unchanged. This is
done to eliminate additional maintenance on your part yet to
ensure the integrity of the workflow templates.
The text "Shared Task" will be displayed for tasks that are
partnered.
