Using ContactManager - Report Generator
The Report Generator feature in ContactManager does just
as its title suggests: generates reports for selected
contacts based on criteria selected by the user. Several
reports are available; see below for a descriptive list.
To generate a report, do the following:
- Search for contacts for whom you wish to generate a
report using the Search Query feature.
- Select desired contacts. See Navigating in ContactManager for
information on selecting multiple items/contacts.
- Click the Generate Report toolbar icon.
- Select the desired report, and select report parameters
(page numbering, date range, etc.)
- Select either Print, Preview or Save As.
Select the location to which to save the report if
selecting Save As.
When previewing a report, press
CTRL-F to find items
within the text of the report. To find the next occurrence of
the text, press
F3. You can also click the magnifying
glass toolbar buttons for Find and Find Again.
Here's a list of the standard reports you'll find in
ContactManager:
- Estimated & Actual Hours of Completed Project
Work
The Estimated & Actual Hours of Completed Project Work
Report lists each resource selected along with the closed
tasks they have been assigned. The report then lists the
estimated time entered and the actual time that it took to
complete the task.

Password Activity Security Report
The "Password Activity Security Report" builds a list of
every contact that has had password activity during the
date range you selected. It then lists those contacts,
including each password activity & when that activity
occurred. Unlike most contact reports, this report lists
ALL contacts with password activity, not just contacts
you selected in ContactManager.
This report is useful when you want to see:
- if a contact has logged into their Private Client
Site;
- if a contact has forgotten their password and if so
how many times;
- if you think someone may be trying to break into
your account.
- Private Client Site Access Logs
This report displays the name of each selected contact,
then a list of the contact's Private Client Site digital
item access log entries that have been created within the
report's selected date range, sorted chronologically with
newest entries at the bottom of the list.
- Private Client Site Storage Usage
This report displays the name of each selected contact,
then a list of the contact's Private Client Site digital
folders along with their sizes.
- Selected Contacts
The Selected Contacts report displays the personal
information for the contacts selected in the Contact List.
This might be useful if your assistant needs to contact a
selected group of people. You can simply do a search in the
contact list for the individuals meeting the selected
criteria, and print out the Selected Contacts report for
the matching individuals.
- Time Sheet for Resource
The Time Sheet for Resource report displays the
progress/notes entered in WorkflowManager for the contacts
selected in the Contact List. See the WorkflowManager
User's Guide for information on the progress/notes
feature.
- Contact Notes Created by Resource
The Contact Notes Created by Resource report will show the
selected each contact's name. For each contact, a list of
contact notes will be displayed and each contact note title
will link to the actual Contact
Note.
- Follow-up's scheduler by Resource
The Follow-up's scheduler by Resource report will show a
list of Follow-up Dates for each selected Contact. Follow-up Dates can be added as
reminders to Contact
Notes.
