Email Blaster - Email Marketing
CAN SPAM REGULATIONS
The CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 (Controlling the Assault of
Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act) can be found
at the following website address:
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/buspubs/canspam.shtm.
We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the
guidelines and regulations set forth in this Act before
using Email Blaster.
Managing Opt-Out
The opt-out feature of Email Blaster is maintained in the
contact’s General Tab located in Contact Manager. When a
contact receives an email through Email Blaster and they
wish to opt-out, they simply click on the Email Blaster
opt-out link that is automatically included with all Email
Blaster emails. Once they click on the opt-out link, their
TSV contact record is automatically updated with a YES in
their “Opt out of Emails” field in their digital
contact file. You can also manually edit their opt-out
state using the contact’s digital file. Simply change
the option to YES or NO using the drop down arrow in that
field. Email Blaster will automatically send emails to
selected recipients in your Contact Manager that have NO in
their “Opt out of Emails” field; if there is a YES in
that field, Email Blaster will not send the email to that
recipient.
Distribution Reports
At the conclusion of each email blast, you will receive a
distribution report via email that provides details on the
emails sent to recipients. The report lists each email
sent, its status, and related details. If Email Blaster
is unable to send the email to the recipient because of
their opt-out setting or because they do not have an email
address, the Details indicates the outcome.
Capturing Emails
Email Blaster includes a feature which allows you to
capture the email you sent and save it in the recipient’s
digital file. Before actually send the email, click in the
box in the bottom left of the Select Recipients screen and
to add a check mark to the box and this will automatically
save the email in the recipient’s digital file. If the
box is left blank, then the email will not be saved in the
recipient’s digital file
HTML (High Impact) Emails
You can use Email Blaster to send high impact HTML
formatted emails. Simply select “Use HTML File” in the
Prepare Email screen of Email Blaster and click the Browse
button to navigate to the HTML file stored in
DocumentManager. You may also use replaceable tokens in
the HTML file for sending personalized emails. Be sure to
include the exact name of the replaceable token with a #
before and after the name of the token (e.g.,
#Recipient:FirstName#). PortalsXpress offers optional
high impact email design services. Contact a sales
representative for details and visit
