Using Messenger - Messenger Settings
The Messenger settings screen presents numerous
interesting user preference and option settings. PortalsXpress
Messenger aims to please and prefers that you determine how
you interact with the program. The Messenger Settings screen
provides you with PortalsXpress Notification options, a Manage
Contacts list link to your PortalsXpress website, the ability
to change your message signature, and a handful of general
user preferences.
Alternate Outgoing Mail Server
The "When sending email" section of the Messenger settings screen
lets you specify an alternate SMTP mail server to use when email
messages are sent through PortalsXpress application.
Using your own mail server for outgoing mail provides the advantage
of appeasing anti-spam filters that might flag emails sent through
PortalsXpress mail servers on your behalf.
This feature also lets you specify a secure connection to take
advantage of data encryption.
