Preferences Only one instance of a member account login is allowed at a time. To protect the security of your account login, iKE generates a message if a second instance of an account login occurs. The following message is displayed "Another iKE installation has logged into this account. Any messages, notifications, data updates, etc. will be sent to the new location." Click "Resume Session" to continue, or "Stay Offline" to exit your session. We recommend that you investigate the reason for another login to your account.Using your member ID and password you can login to your iKE account from the office or from a remote location. If you have inadvertently left your iKE account login session "open" at the office and then attempt to access your account from home, the message listed above will be displayed at your office account. However, your new session is granted at home and all of your messages and data updates are sent to your new login location (your home login). This provides you with the convenience of continuing office related work at a remote location. The pull-down Edit Menu provides access to the following iKE settings:
Find The "Find" feature is a tool that allows you to search the main dialogs of the iKE skillsets for specific text. Enter your search criteria in the "Search for" field, check "Match Case" if desired, then click "Back" or "Next" to navigate the search direction. Connections Use this screen to establish your proxy configuration and your Internet connection type. These settings determine how you will be connected to the Internet through your proxy server, and indicate if you have dial-up or a dedicated connection to the Internet. The proxy server acts as a security barrier between your internal network or computer and the Internet. If you are unsure of these addresses contact your Network Administrator. To access these preferences, click on the pull-down Edit Menu, then select Connections. Options The Startup preference checkbox allows you to choose whether you want to have iKE automatically startup whenever you boot your computer. By selecting this preference, iKE is immediately ready for your use with no additional effort on your part. If you do not select this preference, you can access the iKE program at any time from your Start, Programs menu. To access this preference, click on the pull-down Edit Menu, then select Options. You can choose large toolbars with text labels by checking the box next to "Show Large Toolbars." If you want the "Select Destination" dialog to show up when you print or scan so that you can put those items in your digital file, check this box. Personal Assistants are available to help you automate your workflow. If you want the Personal Assistant dialog to be displayed each time the program starts, check this box. Any personal assistants that you have installed will be shown in the first box that is displayed. The "Default Font" option sets the font style and size used by default when you compose email messages, contact & progress notes, and project & task descriptions. This is especially useful if you frequently send emails to people that prefer larger letters, which are typically easier to read. The Date Format preference allows you to choose the display format for all of the date fields. For example, in iKE Messenger, a date is displayed in the Messages tab for messages that are currently in the active folder. To access this preference, click on the pull-down Edit Menu, then select Options and make your selection from the list provided. The Name Format preference allows you to choose the display format for all of the name fields. To access this preference, click on the pull-down Edit Menu, then select Options and make your selection from the list provided. The Graphics Quality preference allows you to choose the level for the graphics quality display. To access this preference, click on the pull-down Edit Menu, then select Options and click to make your selection on the slide bar. |
